Perfect hotel with a very friendly price

I was there several days after having finished the reconnaissance for the Peaks of the Andes rally. I planed to stay there one day but I ended up staying there a week.
It is not a 4 start hotel, defninteley. Mainly because of the price and it does not have the luxurious aura. But is has everything, friendly staff, a very large room, a rooftop terrace with swimming pool and possibility for breakfast outside (poor breakfast but what can you expect for the price). And the location is perfect.

noise street impossible to rest

The main problems with this hotel are the lack of air conditioning, poor soundproofing, and an old television with very bad sound quality. Despite being advertised as a four-star hotel, the rooms do not have air conditioning, the windows are not soundproof, and constant noise from the street makes it difficult to rest.
The TV is outdated, and the audio quality is poor and distorted, making it unpleasant to use.
Overall, the room felt old and poorly maintained, with furniture that does not meet four-star standards. Breakfast was basic and limited. While the staff were polite, the experience was closer to a three-star hotel at best . I would not recommend this hotel to travelers expecting comfort, quiet, and modern facilities in Lima.

Hotel 4 ☆vintage

The hotel is ideally located in the Miraflores district, close to Berlin Street with its bars and restaurants, with plenty of nightlife. From its decoration you can see that it has had a good past in the 70s, the room is spacious, but its details are vintage. They serve a complimentary breakfast on the terrace, which seems like a sum.

BOULEVARD HOTEL

THE HOTEL STAFF IS VERY HELPFUL AND ATTENTIVE. THE LOCATION IS EXCEPTIONAL, AS IT IS CLOSE TO THE COSTANERA, KENNEDY SQUARE, MERCADO INKA ETC... AND, TO MAKE IT EASIER, TRANSPORT FROM THE AIRPORT BY AIRPORT EXPRESS " MAKES COMING TO AND FROM THE AIRPORT EXTREMELY EASIER.

Look for another Hotel

We stayed in the Hotel `Boulevard' for two months in February and March.
We had been to this hotel twice before the Corona period and we had a good time there.
In the meantime, a lot seems to have changed with the staff and management,
but more on that later.
First about the hotel:
It is an older hotel, so you have to make some compromises. The air conditioning is loud and often fails. The rooms facing the street are of course affected by traffic noise. The room layout is good. The living and sleeping areas are separated or interrupted by the bathroom.
Anyone who didn't expect luxury would not be disappointed.
In contrast to previous years, a lot has changed in the cafeteria. The waiters were very nice and accommodating. The quality of the breakfast has deteriorated. There was no longer a buffet. The rolls were very simple, there were only small sweet rolls, butter and jam. You always had to ask the waiter for slices of sausage and cheese.
After a few weeks, we shopped in the nearby supermarket in the morning and brought fresh bread and toppings for breakfast.
The waiters (especially Alex) were very nice and offered us good service as much as they could.
Since we also have family in Lima, we sometimes invited them for breakfast. Here we now had to pay separately in the cafeteria. Writing on the room, as we were used to, no longer existed.
So much for breakfast. The in-house restaurant no longer existed and is closed.
As I said, we often had family over and they were also known at reception. They had to hand in their IDs at reception FOR CHECKING, including the children.
This is the very last thing, we have never experienced anything like this. You were controlled - like in prison.
The ladies could be forgotten except for two employees, a catastrophe and hostile to the guests.
Strangely, the same could not be said of the cleaning staff, the porters and the cafeteria staff, who were extremely polite, courteous and helpful.
Our conclusion: we will no longer book this ominous hotel. Since we fly to Lima every year, we will look for another family and guest-friendly hotel where the guest is still treated with respect.
