A place to return to

Unfortunately, we were only able to spend one night at Hostal Castilla, because we would have gladly stayed longer. We felt right at home... The beds were very comfortable, plenty of towels for the two of us, and everything was impeccable, very clean. These three things are what I value most when I leave home, and they deserve a ten here.
The interior courtyard is beautiful, and everything in general shows that there is care and attention behind it from the family that runs it.
Pili deserves special mention, as she was absolutely charming and helpful.
A million thanks and until next time, because we will definitely be back!

SMELL OF TOBACCO IN THE ROOM

WELL BELOW OUR EXPECTATIONS.
THE ROOM OLIA A TOBACCO (SHOULD BE WELL VENTILATED IF A CLIENT SKIPS THE BAN). IF IT HAPPENS YOU HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT VENTILATING WELL. IN THESE TIMES IT IS INCOMPREHENSIBLE TO SLEEP IN A ROOM WITH A TOBACCO SMELL.
BATHTUB CURTAINS ARE NO LONGER SEEN ANYWHERE AND THE BATHROOM CISTERN KEPT GETTING NOISE ALL NIGHT.
FOR TEN EUROS MORE THE NEXT DAY WE SLEPT IN ANOTHER ACCOMMODATION OF A MUCH HIGHER QUALITY.

Charming and calm

We were very well received despite our very late arrival at night in this charming and quiet hostal. We were able to park our vehicle on the street just outside and have breakfast in the morning. Simple and comfortable, the hostel is very well located and easily accessible.

Very traditional Hostal and good value

Very traditional Spanish Hostal. Good location, 10 min walk to Palace Gardens etc. Clean comfortable room , decent breakfast with freshly squeezed orange juice, fresh tostadas and coffee. Staff friendly and helpful, good wifi connection, very pleasant internal courtyard garden. traditonal old-style Spanish experience - definitely stay here rather than a modern soulless chain.

Better now

We stayed here some 7 years ago because of its perfect location in Aranjuez and its price point. We went back to find that it is still a traditional hostal with a great price point for a double room at 48 euros but now with a small cafeteria so even better for everyday needs. if you are looking for somewhere authentic go here!
