Secluded hostel near Sants

We decided on this hostel because it is very close to Sants Station and Montjuïc. Supermarkets, shops and restaurants are nearby. Plaza de España is a few minutes away, with metro and many buses and Las Arenas shopping center. The hostel is located on a floor in a farm and I think it has an annex opposite. In our building there was an elevator. It has a common area with sofas, TV, refrigerator and I think I also remember a microwave. The staff was very attentive and friendly. The price was a bit steep for what it is, but in Barcelona any stay is expensive right now and more in a weekend.
Don't expect luxuries, it's a somewhat old hostel, but it was tidy and the truth is that we didn't plan to be in the room much. The door to the room was a bit tricky to open, but we caught it quiet. They give you the keys to the patio, the floor and your room. It had an entrance with a built-in wardrobe, large and antique. At the end, the room, with two comfortable beds, plugs on the central bedside table (good for charging mobiles) and two lamps on the sides on the wall. There's no TV, but I hardly ever use it. There is air conditioning and heating, a desk, a chair and an armchair. The bathroom was surprisingly much more modern than the rest of the room. It looked like it was recently renovated and the shower was great.
In short, a simple hostel, no frills, something old, but clean and very well located. With that in mind, all right. No more waiting or less.
On the negative, maybe it needs an update in the room like they did in the bathroom, which was rather newer. And that the battery was leaking underneath, but not very much, thankfully.

Expensive for what it offers

I only spent one night in this place fortunately. It was literally freezing. I had to walk around the room in my jacket. The air conditioning didn't work apparently there was only a heating at the entrance that was supposed to heat the whole floor. Also very moist. The location is great. The lady at reception very helpful. But for 90€ it is not worth it

Cheap and cheerful in Barcelona

The two big advantages of this hostel are it is central (short walk from Sants station) and it is cheap - 50€/night if you book direct and you will struggle to do better than that in Barcelona. The rooms are small and I had to share a bathroom but if, like me you just want a bed for the night, it is fine. Clean enough and with working wi-fi.

A comfortable couple of nights

When checking in, the staff were fantastic - very informative. The room was basic, but that's all we needed. Short walk to the metro and buses. We'd definitely return if we were looking for another budget stay. It was great being close to the shopping centre.

Basic But Very Welcoming

Hostal Bejar is in the heart of Barcelona City Centre. It is not far from Sants station and Place De L'Espanya. There are Metro stations at these locations and there is also Tarragona which is really close by as well.
Once I located the hostel I was shown to my room by the host and it was very comfortable. There was a bathroom nearby with a shower and the room was cosy and had everything I needed.
The following day I went out and did everything I wanted to do and returned to the hostal and the room was refreshed and ready for me.
Both nights I had a good night's sleep and the staff I met were really friendly and welcoming.
It was not expensive to stay at the hostel and I felt I got very good value for money based on the location as it was perfect for what I needed.
