If you are using the Eurostar high speed trains and need to stay the night in Brussels, the Pullman Hotel is the best option by far. It is essentially on top of the Brussels Midi/Zuid station, and you never need to leave the building to get to it. Don't make the mistake I did and go outside with rolling suitcases. Some sadist decided to put in pavement that is next to impossible to roll anything on, but inside there are smooth floors that make it easy.
I was just stayed the night with my wife, but the room was quiet, comfortable, attractive and clean. We took the first train to London and the entrance for that, along with cafes and other food establishments, were right there almost immediately outside the hotel doors.
As we arrived from Germany in the evening and left first thing in the morning, we didn't see much of the neighborhood, but it didn't look like anything great. For our purposes, the Pullman Hotel was perfect.

The hotel is aged and the rooms need refurbishing. The break is decent and good. The staff was helpful. Overall an adequate stay, with the main plus being it is located in the train station.

The hotel itself is excellent you can walk through Brussels midi station to the side endtrance without leaving the hotel
The rooms are comfortable clean and the bathroom and showers are great .
The only downside is the surrounding area which is not the best of Brussels but it is after all located at a train station , it is only a few metro stops to the centre and it has easy access to the Eurostar

Good stay

Nice room on 8th floor with good bed and perfect rain shower. Lobby bar is good with draft beer and you can eat there as the restaurant was not open. And the food was quite ok even if expensive. The breakfast is good with fresh orange juice, decent coffee, nice freshly cut mango and more. Located on train and metro station so easy access to all.
