Beautiful beach, hotel of good standing.

Very nice hotel, in Bora Bora, the bungalows are well-equipped, fridge, coffee maker, hair dryer... The beach is well-equipped, sun loungers, shower, a spot for snorkeling is located in front of the beach. The hotel is close to shops, restaurants, and it provides all the equipment for snorkeling. Car rental is close to the hotel.

Disappointing for the price

Apart from the location, the kindness of the staff and direct access to the beach, everything else was very disappointing. The room overlooking the lagoon is spacious, well cleaned. If you have to refresh it, you should not look at the details. Breakfast mediocre for the price. Regional jams ferment , undercooked rolls and pastries and very fat. Few choices in fruit, especially local. And the dirty coffee (to get real coffee you have to pay). Salty side without more, cold scrambled eggs.
Evening buffet, a scam. The grills offered are in small quantity and the buffet serves the bare minimum. The buffet with local dance, fortunately the show was good, the food mediocre.
Unstable Wi-Fi, frequent loss of connection. It's the same for TV.

Pleasant experience

We spent 5 nights at the maitai in a bungalow on stilts. I must say that it is really the stilt that makes all the charm of this hotel... direct descent into the water by the ladder and viewing of the fish through the glass table without the room.
Apart from that, the beach is small and there is no swimming pool. Cross the road to the reception and buffet restaurant.
Half-day excursion to see fish, rays, and blacktip sharks 10500 fxp... or 100 euros.
To have made the other maitai lapita to Huahine, I must say that the level of it is much lower.
I will remember only the pleasure of the pile which is a beautiful experience although very expensive.

A dream interlude in an exceptional setting.

We had booked a room with an ocean view and were immensely surprised to be upgraded to a bungalow on stilts… what a wonderful gift upon our arrival!
A huge thank you to Guilia for her warm welcome, kindness, and great professionalism. She greatly contributed to making our stay even more enjoyable.
The recently renovated stilt house is magnificent and offers great comfort with quality services. The most incredible part remains the direct access to the lagoon: crystal-clear water with incredible colors, so beautiful that it feels like swimming in a natural pool.
Even though our stay lasted only two nights, we keep a wonderful memory of it. A magical place

Short stay at Maitai Polynesia

We received a very warm welcome at this hotel. Staff were friendly and very informative.
Good location but small beach area (with limited sunbeds) which is problematic given the size of the hotel.
Breakfasts were basic but ok. Bad reviews of the hotel restaurant meant we never ate dinner there. However, the restaurant on the beach, opposite the hotel, was very good.
The room was clean but a little tired and had a bi-fold hatch between the bedroom and the bathroom which refused to stay shut leaving little to the imagination!! Baffling, very odd and pointless.
We had lunch on the balcony one day and shut the doors to keep the room cold , and we got locked out! No way of opening doors from outside! Good job we were on the ground floor and my husband could climb over the railing (and he had the key in his pocket) so all was well. But could have been worse given we were at the back of the hotel reception with no foot traffic!
The Tahitian dancers were brilliant.
The gift shop at the hotel was excellent and a fraction of the prices elsewhere. Well worth a browse.

Very good location
