Delicious wines!

Lovely sitting on terrace and enjoyed fine wines. Wine tasting done and tasted 6 excellent wines. Eventually we chose delicious Charta Riesling 2024 and delicious Joseph’S Charta Riesling 2023. If you want to taste a good wine from the region, this is the ‘Place to be’ in a wonderful atmosphere.

Disappointing restaurant

We were there eating in the restaurant, both had hunter's schnitzel for a good 20 euros. Price-performance was really bad and the so-called hunter sauce was very watery and had only a few mushrooms.

Hotel with a view

We are "always satisfied with the best." (Oscar Wilde)

A few years ago I wrote a review of this wonderful family-run place in which I described it as a Gesamtkunstwerk of food, wine, atmosphere, and service. That comment is still valid today. We stay here for at least one visit, sometimes two, of about 9 nights each every spring and/or fall. We are never disappointed. Our special wishes regarding tables for us and our two Scottish Terriers are always given consideration, which we appreciate heartily. The staff remembers us and anticipates our wishes, like having strong black tea with our breakfast and having our wine served in traditional green "Roman" glasses. We usually manage to get our favorite room on the top floor with a balcony overlooking the Rhine so that we have magnificent scenery to enjoy even on rainy days. The Baudobriga leaves nothing to be desired, except perhaps for adding a few more dishes to the menu.

A Wonderful Stay in Boppard

We loved our stay here! We had a riverside room with a balcony that had an absolutely gorgeous view of the Rhine River. The hotel itself was very charming, our beds (two twins) were extremely comfortable, and the room and bathroom were a good size and spotless (so clean!!). The location in Boppard cannot be beat, right in the center of town and on the river. It was close to several restaurants, cafes, the walking path, and boat landings. It was a short walk up to the train station and a bit beyond that was the Sesselbahn chairlift. The staff was very friendly, attentive, and answered any questions we had. We also had dinner at the restaurant one night and it was delicious -- make sure to try the Baudobriga wine. It was a wonderful stay!
