A very beautiful stay in Archontissa

We visited the Archontissa hotel in early July for a week.
Mr. Janis and Mrs. Anna welcomed us very kindly and informed us readily about the island.
The renovation of the hotel ended a month ago and really everything was new and clean.
We had a nice spacious room on the 3rd floor. There was a small kitchen with all the utensils they needed. It had 2 joined beds that despite our initial concerns that there would be a vacuum in between was not done. The beds are new, heavy, do not split the night, the layers are perfect and we slept very well.
On the roof there was a very good dynamic fan that was enough for the coolness we wanted and so we didn't even have to open the air conditioner that was inside.
The view was incredible. We saw the whole city, the harbour and Ano Syros that in the evening when we sat after lighting we did not want to leave the balcony.
The room is cleaned every day, the cleaners do very good.
If we come back to Syros we will definitely close again at Archontissa.

Perfect accommodation in the Old Quarter

The location is terrific. The management were welcoming. Our room, 22, had just been renovated. They have completed half the hotel and will do the rest next low season. The room facilities exceeded our expectations with a small hot plate crockery and cutlery which was a pleasant surprise. The bathroom was divine.
There's a bus stop and taxi rank right outside!
We would absolutely stay here again.

Unacceptable

My experience in this particular hotel was disappointing... The room was not cleaned as it should and although I stayed for 8 days there was no change in neither sheets nor towels.. The cleaner never went in to clean, generally the cleaning was inadequate. She didn't even have health paper... The staff was rude and ironic without any willingness to help... and two or three times the door opened in the morning without knocking while we slept... Totally unacceptable and offensive to my privacy ...I would not recommend it.... I would never choose it again... Not meeting basic hospitality standards... If there was the possibility I would put 0 stars..

Lord!!!

We met in Syros for my husband's surgery.
The hotel, decent and comfortable, and Mr. Yiannis (owner) very helpful and friendly!!!

Best place to visit Syros
