A great place for a couple of days.
Alexis, the owner, a brilliant businessman, was very hospitable. His assistant Vaggelis, as well. The rooms with a ready-to-burn fireplace, lay out of a 4* hotel.
The main guest relaxing room where also breakfast was served, had an unbelievable view of the mountains around - all over 2.350 m high - and the fertile valley of Feneos.
Breakfast served on personal trays, with a variety of local marmalades and honey. Cold not eat all...
Before leaving, ask Vaggelis to bring you 1-2 kilos of the best giant beans in the world.
We recommend this place for Winter and Summer, as well.

The “no frills” mountain lodge
Now, the not so nice:
>Our room had a bulb missing on the main ceiling fixture, and after notifying the hotel manager, excuses were made with no follow up; our bathroom had a bulb missing (seemingly to economize) and our friends reported the bulb in their bathroom was also missing. I have vision impairment so this made mobility much more difficult.
> The television did not work in either my room nor our travel companion’s room. The excuse was that power outages make it impossible to ensure continuity of TV connection. This was not a big deal to us, but it was interesting that no attempt was made to fix anything.
> Mattresses needed replacement. Sleep was difficult because the mattresses were soft, pillows were hard, and the bed creaked with every movement.
> No air conditioning/no screens. I can live without air conditioning during the hot days of August in the mountains, but we could not enjoy the natural mountain air. There were no screens on the windows so mosquitoes, wasps, and flies came into our room. We had to shut the windows which made the air warm and stifling.
> The final straw was the song and dance at the end of our stay about using a credit card. Lame excuses were made not to accept credit cards, including the computer was down and it is hard to get a connection because of power issues in the area. This left me astounded because, while the WiFi was nonexistent in the individual rooms, at the main building, it was okay. After we hunkered down and insisted we pay with a card, the manager’s partner came in and easily accepted the credit card payment. It was a bizarre end to a disappointing experience.
> On one last note, all the reviews that said the roads are bad leading up to the mountain chalet are accurate. Be careful!
