Top notch experience

My new go-to Rome hotel. Comfortable, clean, ideal location, great breakfast and the best service. With two rooms for my friend group, we stayed in both the annex across the street and main hotel with equally good experiences. You’re right next to the bakery and can skip the line by buying when they open (and fyi the hotel gets a bread and croissant delivery for the breakfast service)
Most of all, it’s the service that sets the apart. Leonardo (and the overall team) was such a help when our return flight was canceled and we needed to come back for one more night. He managed to get us the same rooms and arrange a taxi for the next day and set a dinner reservation, he made it seamless in what was a stressful moment after the airport. Also (at least for the annex) our room was quiet when the window was closed, even when it’s a crowd on the street.
Worth the price many times over for the service location and experience.

Great property, a little gem in the center near the Campo dei Fiore. Excellent location close to all the monuments. The staff was amazing, super friendly. Especially Leonardo, who went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. The air conditioner worked great, especially on the really hot days of August. Great breakfast included with a wonderful staff. Rooms are a little on the smaller size, but it was not really an issue, and I will definitely stay there again.

Hotel Smeraldo

This hotel was absolutely perfect for our trip to Rome. The AC was cool, the staff was excellent, the breakfast was great, and the location couldn’t be beat. I would 1000% stay here again. It’s everything you need!

Aside from Rooftop cover charge, everything was excellent. I dont believe charging your hotel guests for rooftop cover charge which equates to $17 dollars for a wine cooler. Being the way I am I tipped the bartender and server $3 each. So $23 for a spritzer. And the staffs reasoning is everyone in Rome does it, ah no they dont. And it's a rip off, I will stop going to Roma if that's the case, there's plenty other places to visit. And if my business dont mean anything then good luck fellas, it's the principle of the matter. I could see if your at capacity but not when your rooftop is empty and you dont provide a dj or appetizers. You gouging your customers

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Smeraldo. The location is excellent, you can walk to all the important sights. There was also a convenience store, a gym, and restaurants close nearby. The hotel is well kept and our room was cleaned every day. Breakfast is a buffet with the usual things, but they also have a "morning coffee bar" where you can request different types of coffees or teas. The people at the reception were very helpful and answered any questions we had. Overall, well worth the money and I would stay here again!
