Love Osaka, food is amazing. Universal studio there is great but better to purchase express tickets to enjoy as many activities as possible.

Anyone you talk to in Japan will tell you to go to Osaka if you want to be in gastro-heaven. Naturally, I zipped out of crowded Tokyo and took the 4-hour train ride to Osaka. The train requires a few transfers, but Osaka can also be reached by either domestic or international air travel. The trip is worth it for the best sushi in Japan, octopus balls (Takoyaki), and the vintage-retro vibe that fills the streets of Osaka. I visited in August 2017 when the humidity was at an all-time high; I recommend visiting in the early summer months or spring to avoid the heat.
The least expensive month is May, with an average of $149 per night. The most expensive month to stay in Osaka is April, with an average price of $181 per night.
The average price of a hotel in October last year was $155 per night. This is 5% less than the average nightly price of $163 seen over the previous 12 months.
In Osaka, the expected average temperature in October is 19.0°C/66.1°F. The warmest month is typically August, which averages 32.5°C/90.5°F. The coolest month is January, with temperatures averaging 2.4°C/36.3°F.
We use indicative prices on this page to help you choose from a large number of options. This month's estimated lowest price is based on the average of the lowest prices found for hotels in this destination on Skyscanner from October last year.
