Just a little over an hour out of Mexico City, Cuernavaca is a wonderful place to spend a day or longer. The town is rich with colonial history which makes for an interesting walk around, and the surrounding area is mountainous and covered in colourful and sweet smelling wildflowers.
Venture outside Mexico City for a short trip to Cuernavaca. Known as the “City of Eternal Spring,” it houses important landmarks such as the Cortez Palace and the Cathedral. Next, stroll through the narrow streets amid the colonial buildings of Taxco. This silver mining city teems with old-style charm. See the gold-plated altars of the Santa Prisca church and visit the La Borda Plaza.
Cuernavaca is known locally as 'La ciudad de la eterna primavera' - the city of the eternal spring. With its lush environment, pleasant climate and friendly locals, Cuernavaca's tagline is well deserved. A Monterrey Tech campus makes this city a popular summer study abroad site with foreigners and Mexicans alike and so there is mucha fiesta tambien, guey!
A great place for going on weekends.. Very nice weather to spend the day enjoying by the pool and go to see some beautiful places in the nearby areas
