Auckland Airport
Auckland International airport has a single terminal building for all its flights and is a 15 minute open-air walk from the domestic terminal.
There is no train service to the airport, however a reliable public bus service runs every 10 minutes from 7am to 7pm on weekdays taking about 45 minutes to an hour from downtown Auckland. The bus then runs every half an hour outside of those hours, on weekends and public holidays. There are also fixed price airport shuttles and metered taxis.
The airport has a full range of services and eating choices.
Information on flying into Madrid:
Madrid Airport is about 12km Northeast of the city centre with an underground train service connecting from its four terminals to the national rail network. There are also a number of public bus routes to different parts of the city with a taxi taking approximately half an hour to downtown Madrid. Madrid hotels can be booked at the airport as can rental cars. Travellers are advised to secure reservations for both hotels and rentals cars ahead of time especially during peak tourist periods and events such as football fixtures.

- Time and climate difference between Auckland and Madrid – Auckland is 12 hours ahead of Madrid. Auckland is slightly cooler and more humid than Madrid which experiences a dry continental climate. Summer temperatures in June July and August range between 20 and 32 °C with a winter average of 12 °C.
