Flights from Marrakech Menara

Marrakesh Menara Airport is a joint-use public and military airport serving the city of Marrakesh, capital of the Marrakesh-Tensift-El Haouz region in Morocco. The airport handles international flights, linking Marrakesh to cities in Europe and other cities in Morocco. The airport has two passenger terminals, with a third on the way. The existing terminals cover a total area of 42,000 square metres.

Marrakesh, alternatively spelled Marrakech, is a major city in Morocco. It is the fourth largest city in the country and is located to the north of the Atlas Mountains foothills, about 327 kilometres southwest of Morocco's capital Rabat. Marrakesh is one of the four former imperial cities of Morocco, built by Moroccan Berber empires.

Where to go

The Medina - The Medina quarter is the city's old, historic district. Its main square is the Jemaa el-Fnaa, a large market square bustling with both locals and tourists. By day, the square is filled with juice stalls, snake charmers, and young people chained with Barbary apes. At night, the square is filled with even more people and different entertainers, including Chleuh dancing boys, magicians, and story-tellers. The square is also filled with food-stalls at night.

Majorelle Garden - Majorelle Garden is a beautiful cobalt-blue 12-acre botanical garden. Designed by expatriate French artists Jacques Majorelle, it also functions as an artist's landscape garden. It is home to over 15 bird species and has a notable collection of cacti and fountains. Additionally, Majorelle Garden houses the Islamic Art Museum of Marrakech.

Koutoubia Mosque - Situated in the southwest medina quarter, about 200 metres west of the Jemaa El Fna souq, is the largest mosque in the city, Koutoubia Mosque. It is also alternatively called Kutubiyya Mosque, Jami' al-Kutubiyah, Kutubiya Mosque, Mosque of the Booksellers, and several other names. Koutoubia Mosque is a minaret standing 253 feet (77 metres) high with a spire and orbs, and a large plaza with gardens.

Stockholm has a number of interesting and unique museums. One example is the Vasa Museum, a maritime museum that displays an almost fully intact 17th century ship that sank on her maiden voyage in 1628. Another is the Nobel Museum, dedicated to the Nobel Prize, and ABBA: The Museum, an interactive exhibition about the popular Swedish pop-group Abba. The Italian city Pisa on the other hand hand is famous for, obviously, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, a particular tourist favourite. Other beautiful buildings in Pisa are the Pisa Baptistery, the Gothic church Santa Maria della Spina, and the Piazza dei Miracoli complex.

There are no direct long haul flights from Marrakesh Menara Airport.
