Departing from Wellington

Wellington Airport (WLG) is 9km from the city centre in the suburb of Rongotai. It's connected to the city by bus (from NZ$12), taxi (NZ$30-NZ$40) and shuttle and rideshare services. Short-term and long-term parking is available if you're travelling by private car, which is cheaper if you join the airport's Wildcard scheme.

While waiting for your flight to Tokyo, you can get something to eat or drink at the many restaurants and cafes, browse duty-free and regular shops, use the free Wi-Fi and use other airport facilities.
