The Republic of Angola is a country located in Southern Africa. It covers 1,246,700 km2, making it the seventh-largest country in the continent, and is bordered by the Democratic Republic of the Congo to the north, Zambia to the east, Namibia to the south, and the Atlantic Ocean to the west. Despite being rich in natural resources such as oil and diamonds, Angola is relatively poor. Its capital and largest city is Luanda.

Quiçama National Park - Quiçama National Park is a national park approximately 70km from Luanda, in northwestern Angola. It is also referred to as Kissama National Park or Parque Nacional do Quiçama. The massive park covers 12,000 km2. Originally formed as a game reserve in 1938, it gained the status of national park on January 1957. It is the only functioning national park in the country.

National Museum of Slavery - The National Museum of Slavery was founded in 1997 by the National Institute of Cultural Patrimony. It was created for the purpose of presenting the history of slavery Angola, displaying hundreds of objects used in the slave trade and other related objects.

Cathedral of the Holy Saviour - The Cathedral of Luanda, or Cathedral of the Holy Saviour, is a Roman Catholic cathedral located in the capital. It is the seat of the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Luanda, and was constructed in 1628.

Museum of the Armed Forces - The Museum of the Armed Forces is housed in the Fortaleza de São Miguel, a fortress built in 1576 and formerly a major outlet for slave traffic to Brazil. The museum was founded in 1975, following Angola's independence. It displays items such as combat vehicles, bi-motor airplanes, and other objects used during the Angolan War of Independence (1961–1974), the South African Border War (1966-1991), and the Angolan Civil War (1975–2002).

The Quatro de Fevereiro International Airport in the southern part of Luanda operates passenger service to and from Angola. Most of its connections are to nearby countries such as Johannesburg, Libreville, Casablanca, Nairobi, and Kinshasa, as well as to Amsterdam, Madrid, Frankfurt, Addis Ababa, London, and Paris. Airlines serving the airport include TAAG Angola Airlines, Royal Air Maroc, SonAir, Emirates, British Airways, Air France, and TAP Portugal. There is a new airport called Angola International Airport under construction in the Bom Jesus commune, and is set to replace Quatro de Fevereiro Airport in Mid-2017.
