What are the cheapest international destinations from the Philippines?

Malaysia's capital Kuala Lumpur is easily reached from Cebu, Davao and Manila on cheap flights with AirAsia, Philippines AirAsia and local airline Cebu Pacific, as well as Malaysia Airlines. You can also take flights from Manila to Kota Kinabalu, one of the closest international destinations to the Philippines, located just south of the country on the Malaysian side of Borneo.

In some ways, Malaysia isn't much different from the Philippines, with similar year-round heat, air-conditioned shopping malls, abundant nature and even a similar language dating back to pre-colonial times. More recent history has seen the countries develop down very different paths, with multicultural Malaysia promising memorable and exotic experiences in one of Southeast Asia's lesser visited destinations.

Hong Kong

Hong Kong, aka The Pearl of the Orient, aka. Asia's World City, isn't one of the cheapest destinations in Asia. But there are plenty of low-cost flights from the Philippines, courtesy of Cebu Pacific's flights from Cebu, Clark, Iloilo and Manila. You can also make the trip with Hong Kong airline Cathay Pacific and its subsidiary Cathay Dragon.

Hong Kong is a popular getaway from the Philippines due to the comparatively short flight time of 2 hours and 30 minutes. Its more northerly location also means it enjoys cooler temperatures, especially in the winter.

This tiny city-state at the southern tip of the Asian mainland is another popular port of call from the Philippines, for both business and pleasure. Flights to Singapore are available from 6 airports - Cebu, Clark, Davao, Iloilo, Kalibo and Manila – from full-service airlines such as SilkAir and low-cost carriers like Cebu Pacific and Singapore's own Scoot.

Singapore combines Hong Kong's shimmering skyscrapers and entertainments with Malaysia's multicultural melting pot to create an unmissable destination for foodies, family holidays and retail therapy.
