What is the best time to visit the Philippines?

The Philippines has distinct wet and dry seasons. The wet season, which runs from May to October, often sees torrential downpours and these can be accompanied by typhoons, which are often destructive. Typhoons, which are called ‘bagyo’ locally, are most common between June and September.

The hottest period in Manila is from March to June, with highs in the mid-30s being common. However, even in the cooler months, you can still expect the mercury to reach 30°C.
