The Islamic Republic of Pakistan, also commonly referred to as simply Pakistan, is a sovereign country situated in South Asia. Iqbal Park - Iqbal Park, formerly named Minto Park, is a large urban park situated in Lahore city. The park contains the tall distinctive minaret-shaped monument called the Minar-e-Pakistan, or the Lighthouse of Pakistan. Anyone who climbs the 198.5-feet tall lighthouse will be rewarded with a panoramic view of the park, which also contains an artificial lake, lawns and gardens, and marble fountains. Other significant landmarks, buildings, and monuments in the park include the Badshahi Mosque, Lahore Fort, Tomb of Muhammad Iqbal, Roshnai Gate, and Hazuri Bagh Baradari.

National Museum of Pakistan - Pakistan's National Museum is located in the city of Karachi. The museum is devoted to collecting, preserving, studying, and exhibiting artefacts relating to the cultural history of Pakistan. The museum contains a conservation library, an auditorium with 250 seating capacity, and a total of 11 Galleries.

Clifton Beach - Clifton Beach, otherwise called Seaview, was a famous silver-sand beach and health resort until the damages of an oil spill in 2003. There are still several tourist attractions around, such as amusement parks, food establishments, and even beachside horse and camel rides. Also in the area is a Cineplex cinema, which features Hollywood films and selected Bollywood films.

Travellers from Pakistan have a lot of options when it comes to short haul international destinations. Only a few hours away is the Sultanate of Oman, an Arab country that boasts of interesting tourist attractions such as the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, Wahiba Sands, the Royal Opera House Muscat, and the Oman Oil and Gas Exhibition Centre.
