Venezuela, or the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, is a country by the northern coast of South America. The current territory of Venezuela has been colonised by Spain in 1522 from indigenous peoples. Venezuela climate varies with annual temperatures at as high as 35 degrees Celsius or 95 degrees Fahrenheit around its low-elevation plains, with temperatures of around 8 degrees Celsius or 46.4 degrees Fahrenheit around the glaciers and highlands. Wildlife within the park includes 266 species of birds, osprey, flamingo, pelican, hawksbill turtle, anteater, dolphin, whale, howler monkey and crabs, among others. Venezuela’s Angel Falls is the world’s highest uninterrupted waterfall. As a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the falls has a height of 979 metres or 3,212 feet, with a plunge of 807 metres or 2,648 feet. Los Roques, or Los Roques archipelago, is a federal dependency of the country of Venezuela that consists of around 350 islands, cays, and islets. Los Llanos, or The Plains, is a tropical grassland plain, located by the eastern part of Andes in Colombia and Venezuela. Los Llanos has the Guaratic River, and during the rainy seasons, parts of the plain turns into a temporary wetland.
