Arriving in Kuala Lumpur

Kuala Lumpur has 2 main airports: Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL), commonly known as KLIA, and Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport (SZB), also known as Subang Airport.

The majority of airlines land at KLIA or KLIA2. The second is a terminal dedicated to low-cost airlines that replaced the outdated LCCT facility. These are 2km apart, but both well-connected by public transport and taxis. To get to KL city centre, it takes around 30 minutes by train, 45 minutes by taxi and 1 hour by bus.

Subang Airport is closer to the city, but is used only by Firefly and Malindo Air. A taxi from here takes 20 minutes to reach the city.
