Departing from Christchurch

Christchurch Airport (CHC), located in the suburb of Harewood, is the busiest airport on New Zealand's South Island. It was officially opened in 1940 and was most recently upgraded in 2013.

The airport is 11km from the CBD, which takes 15 minutes by car or 20 minutes by bus. A taxi to the airport is likely to be in the $45 to $65 range.
