Philippine Airlines (PAL) is the flag carrier airline of the Philippines. Its main hub is at Manila Ninoy Aquino Airport, with secondary hubs at Mactan-Cebu and Luzon-Clark International.

Founded in 1941, PAL is the oldest commercial airline in Asia. Today, it flies to 31 domestic and 41 international destinations in East and Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Australia, North America and the United Kingdom. Low-cost domestic flights are operated through its subsidiary airline, PAL Express.

Why fly with Philippine Airlines

Philippine Airlines check in

You can check in for Philippine Airlines flights online, via mobile or at the airport. Online check-in is available from 1 day to 1 hour before your scheduled take-off time, except for unaccompanied minors and passengers who need special assistance.

Even if you're checking in online, you'll still need to visit the airline counter at least 45 minutes before your flight to show your boarding pass and required travel documents and to check any bags.

Philippine Airlines baggage allowance and fees

All passengers can take 1 cabin bag on board their flight, as well as 2 other small items such as a blanket, camera, laptop, purse or small handbag. Cabin bags should weigh no more than 7kg and not be larger than 115cm in total dimensions.

Most passengers also receive a free checked baggage allowance from 20kg to 40kg, based on their fare type and the part of the world they're flying in. The exception is Basic Economy domestic flights in the Philippines, which have no free baggage allowance.

Excess baggage is charged from US$5 per kg or its equivalent in local currency.

Philippine Airlines seat selection

Seat selection is inclusive for higher fare classes and can be purchased for economy class flights. Prices vary by destination, from ₱250 for a standard or extra leg room seat on Philippines domestic flights to US$80 for an extra leg room seat on flights to Canada, the UK and USA.
