Departing from Christchurch
Christchurch Airport (CHC) is the busiest airport on the South Island. Check-in counters for all airlines are on the ground floor, after which you head to the 1st floor for security clearance, departure gates and duty-free shopping. There's a wide selection of restaurants and stores both airside and landside.
You should aim to arrive at Christchurch Airport 3 hours before your international departure. Travel from the city centre takes around 15 minutes by car/taxi and up to 25 minutes by bus (Line 29 from Victoria Street).
