Arriving in London
Although there are several airports you can land at in London, London Heathrow (LHR) is by far the busiest. This airport has 4 active terminals, which are split up by airlines and alliances. Air New Zealand flights land at Terminal 2, Qantas flights at Terminal 3 and British Airways flights at Terminal 5.
By car or taxi, Heathrow is half an hour from London. Car hire is available from London Heathrow in each of the terminals and cars drive on the left-hand side of the road.
Overground trains take less than 20 minutes to reach the city, while buses and the Underground (which are both cheaper than trains) can take 45 minutes or more.
