London has five airports that offer flights to Barcelona: London City, Gatwick, Heathrow, Luton and Stansted.
Be aware that not all airlines stick to one of these airports when flying. Vueling, for example, has flights to Barcelona from both Luton and Gatwick.

Barcelona (BCN) information
Barcelona El Prat Airport is the main gateway into Barcelona, but be aware that some airlines fly into other airports that they sell as 'Barcelona'.
Barcelona El Prat has two terminals. As a general rule, low-cost carriers land at Terminal 2 while other airlines use Terminal 1. Both terminals have taxi ranks, car hire booths and public transport links to the city.

Transportation to City Centre
El Prat Airport is linked to Barcelona by metro, bus and taxi. The train is the best of these options, timetabled to take 16 minutes into the city and costing €2. A taxi fare for the same trip is likely to cost €30, while the bus adds an extra five minutes onto your trip.
Other important information to note:
Passport and identification requirements – All New Zealand passengers on this flight require a passport. However, as Spain is in the Schengen zone, there's no need to arrange a visa for a short trip.
Arriving in time to check in – For international flights, you should aim to be at the airport at least three hours before take-off for check-in, bag drops and security clearance.
Time difference between London and Barcelona – Barcelona is one hour ahead of London throughout the year.
Weather – Barcelona is the sunnier of the two cities, with warmer average temperatures each month of the year. This is most pronounced in the autumn, as London goes down to winter temperatures quicker.
Expect to pay – London is the more expensive of the two cities. When in Barcelona, expect to save €5 to €15 on meals, €2 on beers and €1 on takeaway coffees.
