Daily Air Flights

Established in 1992, Daily Air Corporation (DAC) is a Taiwanese airline that operates scheduled passenger services to offshore islands as well as helicopter contract services and charters. Its main hubs are at Kaohsiung International Airport and Taitung Airport and its main base is at Taipei Songshan Airport, but its headquarters is located at Zhongshan District, Taipei. The airline first started operations as a Bell 412 helicopter operator. Its fleet size expanded to nine in 1999, with BK-117, B-430, and B-412 expanding in Air Transport category. It was only in 2005 that it began offering scheduled services for offshore islands using four fixed wing Dornier 228-212. Fast forward to 2013, DAC was awarded CAA contract for continuously providing offshore islands’ scheduled flight service with new aircrafts in the future.

At present, the airline offer flights from Taipei, Kaohsiung, and Taitung, Orchid Island, Green Island, MA public, Wangan, and Chimei.

Baggage Allowance & Fees

Daily Air allows passengers to bring one carry-on baggage not exceeding 10kg, as well as checked baggage not exceeding 30kg. In excess of this, corresponding charges will apply. The airline also allows small pets on the aircraft such as cats, dogs, rabbits, turtles, frogs, guinea pigs, squirrels, and the like as long as they are carried by means of checked baggage. The pet and its home cage should not exceed 20kg.

Where We Fly

Daily Air operates on five routes. In the eastern sector, it flies from Taitung Airport (TTT) going to Lyudao Airport (GNI) and Lanyu Airport (KYD). Meanwhile in the western sector, it offers flights from Kaohsiung International Airport (KHH) going to Chi Mei Airport (CMJ) and Wang-an Airport (WOT). It also operates flights from Muskegon County Airport (MKG) going to Chi Mei Airport (CMJ).

Daily Air reminds that you show up at the airport at the earliest time possible. You should be at the airport at most 60 minutes or more than before departure time. This is in lieu for the registration procedures that should be accomplished 30 minutes before departure time. The registration procedure will not accept late comers and will close approximately 10 minutes before take-off. The airline also reminds to bring necessary documents prior to departure, especially for those who availed discount tickets. For elderly discount tickets, an original ROC nationality, original driver’s license or photo, or accompanied photographs of the NHI IC card should be shown. For those who purchased children and infant tickets, an original household registration and accompanying original photographs of the NHI IC card should be shown. Other discount ticket type such as military discount tickets, islander discount tickets, or 65-year old expatriate discount tickets also needs an ROC nationality as well as an identity card.
