Hainan Airlines is a Chinese airline based out of Haikou Meilan International Airport on the island of Hainan. This is off the southern coast of China, with Vietnam on its western side.

Hainan Airlines is China and Asia's fourth biggest airline (China Southern is the biggest), with routes to 90 cities across Asia, Europe and North America. Hainan has direct flights to Auckland and 4 Australian airports (Brisbane, Cairns, Melbourne and Sydney).

In 2018, flights to Vancouver, Edinburgh and Dublin are also being added to its roster.
