Shanghai Airlines Flights

Shanghai Airlines is a subsidiary of China Eastern Airlines based in Shanghai, Republic of China. Established in 1985, the airline boasts a fleet of 80 aircrafts, serving over 140 destinations, both domestic and international. After terminating its Star Alliance membership in 2010, the airline became an affiliate member of the SkyTeam airline alliance. It is free to enrol in the airline program called Eastern Miles, a frequent-flyer program. The more mileage accumulated on flights, the faster members can be upgraded to VIP membership, enjoying privileged services.

Baggage Allowance & Fees

Economy class and business class passengers are entitled to a hand baggage not exceeding 5kg. Dimensions of the baggage must be smaller than 55×40×20 cm. Do ensure that your baggage are able to be stowed underneath your seats or in the overhead compartments. First class passengers are entitled to two pieces of luggage. Baggage that are checked in cannot weigh over 50kg for domestic flights and cannot weigh over 32kg for international flights. For both domestic and international flights, baggage cannot be larger than 100 x 60 x 40cm. If you are travelling with infants, you can check-in strollers with no extra fees incurred as well.

Check In

You can check-in at the airport 2 hours prior to your departure. Check-in services close 45 minutes before departure. If you are taking a domestic flight, you can check in 90 minutes before departure. Check-in services close 30 minutes before departure. Booking Fees

Tickets can be purchased from the airline's website, direct ticket office, sales agents or call service line 95530. Extra booking fees may vary, depending on the agency by which the ticket is purchased. Each passenger ticket comes with a paper ticket and e-ticket. The e-ticket however, cannot be used for airport check-in procedures and can only be used for reimbursement vouchers.

Inflight Services

The airline seeks to offer a pleasant journey through its modest variety of inflight services. For dining options, you can choose between Chinese and western meals, coupled with fruits and snacks as well. A variety of inflight entertainment such as TV shows, movies and music are provided as well. There is also duty-free shopping on board.

Seating

Like other airlines, the first class, business class and economy class seats are separated. Regardless of which air fare purchased, however, the airline seeks to offer a comfortable journey through its well-kept and clean aircrafts.
